Our Brew
The Brew: BIG FIVE Craft Lager
Brewed for the heat of the African sun and the stories shared around the fire - this is the taste of the wild.
The Taste of the Wild
We didn’t set out to brew just another beer; we wanted to bottle the feeling of the African bush.
BIG FIVE Craft Lager is designed for the heat of the day and the warmth of the fire. It is a crisp, refreshing, and accessible lager that balances the malt and hops perfectly.
It is what we call "Sessionable" - meaning it is light enough to enjoy more than one while swapping stories, yet full-flavoured enough to satisfy a true beer lover.

The Vital Stats
| Stat | Value | What this means for you |
| Style | Craft Lager | Crisp, clean, and universally loved. |
| ABV | 4% | Sessionable. Perfect for longer evenings. It allows you to enjoy the moment without a heavy alcohol punch. |
| IBU | 24 | Mild Bitterness. A gentle "bite" that cleanses the palate but remains smooth and easy-drinking. |
The Perfect Serve
Temperature: Serve Ice Cold. We recommend keeping it in the cooler box until the condensation freezes on the can.
The Setting: While it tastes great in a can or glass, BIG FIVE Craft Lager tastes best in its natural habitat:
-
Sitting around a crackling campfire (The "Bush TV").
-
Next to a sizzling braai grid.
-
In hand while watching an African sunset turn the sky red.
Food Pairings
This brew was born to be eaten with South African fire-cooked food.
-
Biltong & Droëwors: The beer's crisp carbonation cuts through the rich, fatty saltiness of cured meat, refreshing your palate after every bite.
-
The Braai: Whether it is a tender lamb chop or a boerewors roll, the mild bitterness of the lager complements the smoky char of the meat perfectly.
